During your visit, enter the site Museum and see all of ancient artifacts that have been recovered from the site.
You will also walk along the trails and discover ruins, an ancient ball game, medicinal trees and the animals that are unique to the region. You can reach the lookout of the park and enjoy a great scenic view of the Bocana of the Copalita River and the coast.
It is recognized as the only place that was discovered at the coast of the Mexican Pacific Ocean. As you tour the area you will find a series of ruins believed to have been last inhabited in the 15th century by a small community of about 2 thousand. Skeletal remains suggest that the people were susceptible to infections and diseases believed to be a main contributor of their deaths. One of the things making this site so unique is that it offers the only look into the Mixteca culture along the Pacific coast.
