Professionally managed by My Huatulco Vacation, this villa is located on a 12-hectare private peninsula within the prestigious gated community of Montecito Beach Village. • Funds paid are non-refundable, if required, you can move your dates without a change fee up to 30 days from arrival.

Montecito Sunrise
Our group of four stayed in this wonderful gated community. The villa looks built to comfortably sleep three couples. A private infinity pool overlooks the ocean and is a perfect place to watch the sunrise in the morning. Amenities include an onsite beach club for residents only with wonderful meal options. Staff were friendly and had great recommendations. The private house cleaner maintained the villa in top shape. The community of La Bocana is only a few steps away, or a taxi is available to travel to La Crucecita, both with wonderful restaurant options. Details make the difference
There's no question the view, the amenities and the climate are sensational. We felt the valet service was efficient, and everyone was extremely friendly.
But we were disappointed in some basics. And when you pay that much for a rental, you do expect a certain standard. These homeowners would expect no less if they rented a home elsewhere.
For Example:
A. of the 3 hair dryers in the house, 2 were so cheap that the red plastic melted off in your hand when you used them, and the 3rd was broken.
B. The temperature controls on the fridge are tricky, and made it impossible to keep food from freezing. All produce in the regular side of the fridge froze, we lost a lot of food.
C. The daily attendant was there for 4 hours a day. This is our private vacation, and even after I asked twice about her hours, she continued to stay MUCH too long, lingered using her phone, and disappeared for long stretches before she was done. It should be like a hotel - she should come in, work quickly, do what's necessary and then leave us to enjoy our space. Also every day she left a wet load sitting in the washer, and a load that was only partially dry in the dryer. So for us to wash our clothing, I had to do the "house" laundry first, before I could do ours. This happened over 75% of the days were were there.
D. This home had an induction stove, with the necessary pots and pans. But to clean these types of cast iron pans is very labour-intensive. And the heat control on these types of cook-tops is very poor. It made for a frustrating and time -consuming situation just to make food for my family.

In regards to your constructive feedback, we truly value your insights as they help bring to light considerations that we may otherwise not be aware of, allowing us to improve the experience for guests.
We have taken your comments seriously and they were brought to the attention of the owner and onsite management. Firstly, new pots/pans and hairdryers have been purchased and replaced in the property to ensure guests have a comfortable and smooth experience during their stay. Additionally, regarding your concerns about the housekeeping service, the owner has discussed this matter with the onsite management team as this is the first time we are hearing this type of feedback. Her job description and responsibilities from the Owner/Management level were based on a daily 4 hour in-villa service, which is likely what caused this discrepancy. Housekeeping service will now be formally offered for *up to* 4 hours, depending on the preference/needs of the guest. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the previous service structure. Furthermore, we have taken note of your feedback regarding the temperature controls on the fridge. This has been brought to the attention of the onsite management team to be addressed.

It's true that Montecito is still a growing community (despite being in its final stages!). As a result, there can sometimes be increased noise levels depending on what's being worked on. For most guests, this payoff is well worth it for the amazing setting and amenities that Montecito provides, it sounds like that was true for you guys too! In terms of the dogs you heard, they would have been in Bocana - the neighboring bay - as Montecito is a pet free community.
